Need an industrial custom container?
We’ll build one for you.

Why companies need a partner that makes things simple.

Project Steel serves its industrial customers by delivering robust designs that are viable from both a manufacturing and an economic perspective.
So you can work better, and more.

Here at Project Steel we offer full engineering of the product at each step from analysis to design.

Our operational model is tested to optimally identify the individual specifications of each container we manufacture. This means we can give our customers a product that adds value to their work.
With bespoke project design, you can achieve optimal performance and simplify operations.

  • 1 Studying the customer’s request:

We look at the product you will be storing or handling and how the container fits into your production cycle.
  • 2 Preparing the initial proposal

We will develop a preliminary design based on a feasibility study. We do this by obtaining the mathematics of the part from the customer, then re-elaborating that data using 3D design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • 3 Co-working with the customer

In this step we define any special requirements emerging from our initial proposal, along with any modifications or special implementations as required.
  • 4 Building a pre-series test prototype

The customer receives a sample for testing and review (on request, for complex projects).
  • 5 Building your custom container

Industrialisation of your project starts with selecting the best solutions based on the complexity of the work. We guarantee total precision for all our products, thanks to a tight-knit system of production controls and a highly-automated production process that allows us to reduce both costs and manufacturing time.

Additional services:

– Static testing and trials to validate the product’s technical characteristics.
– Full study, complete with calculation report produced by a qualified engineer.

Laser-cutting systems

Adige BLM LS5

Adige BLM LS5: laser-cutting machine for 1500×3000 sheet metal, with automatic plate change and fibre technology. Maximum thickness: up to 25 mm for ferrous materials. Maximum thickness for aluminium: 18 mm.
High axis speed and acceleration along with rigid mechanics guarantees excellent cutting performance and precision.

Adige BLM LT5

fibre laser-cutting machine for metal tubes. Automatic bar loading L=6000 and unloading Lmax=4500.
Oxygen or nitrogen gas is used to achieve a clean, precise cut without surface defects such as scaling, which can create issues during welding, spraying or chroming.

Robotised welding systems

ABB IRB 2400 M94A

robotised island with twin workstations, both with lathe. Distance between heads L=1500, bench capacity 200 kg each.
Load quantity is relatively low. Ideal for small-cycle processes as it guarantees high precision. S4 control for fast, easy programming of instructions.

ABB IRB1400

robotised island with twin workstations, both with lathe. Distance between heads L=3000, bench capacity 500 kg each.
A safe, reliable robot whose speed is suitable for welding and handling small parts. Superior control of movements and precision. Ease of programming thanks to the wide display and user-friendly screens.

ABB IRB 1400 M98

robotised island with three workstations, one of which has a rotary positioner.
This robot has superior levels of control and precision. Shorter work cycles help to increase its production capacity.

ABB IRB1600

robotised island with twin workstations, one of which has a variable-length lathe with a maximum capacity of 1500kg.
Automatic tool change and keypad-controlled dimensional check. Can be programmed remotely.

Bending machines

Manipulator ABB M98

Robotised bending island  Manipulator ABB M98: synchronised with the Mecos 100t bending machine, notching machine and “Iron” staving machine for panels of up to 1.5 m.
Robotisation of the materials preparation, bending and staving of semifinished products.

Trumpf bending machine mod.5320 - 320t L=4000

This bending machine is part of the TruBend 5000 series, which is acclaimed worldwide on the machines market. At each stage, from programming through to tooling and bending, this machine is innovative, simple and intuitive to use, simplifying the production process.
